Product Description

Oasis PRiME HLB sets the new performance standard for solid phase extraction cleanup in routine analysis. This sorbent will provide reversed-phase cleanup of acidic, basic and neutral compounds form complex sample matrices. Oasis PRiME HLB has been designed to simplify SPE with easy to follow protocols. It also produces cleaner samples by removing greater than 95% of common matrix interferences such as salts, proteins and phospholipids. Additionally, viscous samples can be processed with faster flows through the device and and less plugging. Based on the Oasis HLB sorbent technology, this water-wettable sorbent does not require conditioning and equilibration to provide excellent recoveries.

Oasis PRiME HLB 1 cc Vac Cartridge, 30 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 100/pk

Setting a new performance standard for solid-phase extraction cleanup in routine analysis, the Oasis PRiME HLB 1 cc Vac Cartridge offers a water-wettable sorbent for reversed-phase cleanup of acidic, basic, and neutral compounds from complex sample matrices. Oasis HLB is a hydrophilic-lipophilic-balanced, water-wettable, reversed-phase sorbent that is made from a specific ratio of two monomers- hydrophilic N-vinylpyrrolidone and lipophilic divinylbenzene. This offers superior reversed-phase capacity with a neutral polar hook for enhanced retention of polar analytes.

Built on the foundation of Oasis HLB, Oasis PRiME HLB provides even cleaner samples in less time and with less effort. The sorbent is able to remove 95% of common matrix interferences like salts, proteins, and phospholipids while maintaining the ability to concentrate analytes. Chromatographers will see faster and more predictable analysis times and the ability to directly load pre-treated samples without conditioning and equilibration. This is made possible by the extremely water-wettable copolymer.

Oasis PRiME HLB is designed to increase speed within your workflow and associated lab equipment. Flow times through cartridges are 30-50% faster for urine and plasma, with desired flow rates achieved using less vacuum or positive pressure than required by other SPE devices. The sorbent remains wet even under these conditions, leading to higher and more reproducible recoveries than can be obtained on silica and other polymeric materials.

This cartridge holds 30 mg of sorbent per cartridge, with 100 cartridges arriving per package. The material used is polypropylene. If needed, an Oasis Sorbent Selection Flangeless Cartridge Kit, 30 mg/1 cc cartridge can help you choose the appropriate sorbent and cartridge for your needs.

How Do I Perform Sample Cleanup Using Oasis PRiME HLB sorbent?

To remove the most matrix interferences, including salts, phospholipids, and proteins, a 3-step solid-phase extraction cleanup process can be used. This method will also allow for sample concentration and enrichment. The first step is to load the pre-treated sample and then wash with 5% MeOH. You can then elute 90/10 acetonitrile MeOH. If you need to remove sample matrices more quickly, you can use a two-step process in which you load the pre-treated sample and then rinse to collect any holdup volume. This is recommended if your beginning sample solution is high organic and concentration/salt removal is not required.
