Sep-Pak devices are available in many styles to accommodate manual and automated solid-phase extraction. Devices are available in syringe barrels, 96-well plates, and Plus cartridge formats. The newest Plus cartridges consist of double Luer-lock adaptors that enable secure Luer-locking connection without the concern of dislodgement due to high back pressure whereas used in the automatic equipment.

Sep-Pak SPE products packed with various sorbents in these disposable cartridges or plates provide a rapid, economical means to clean up heavily contaminated samples that would damage a high-resolution LC column. The basic steps for SPE are shown here demonstrated by using Plus Long cartridges. By optimizing the elution solvent strength, a separation of multiple components in sample can be achieved.

Double Luer-lock Plus cartridges

The Sep-Pak Double Luer-lock Plus Cartridges are fully compliant with ISO 80369-7 Standard for Luer-Lock adaptors, making them easily connectable with any other ISO standard tubing, adaptors, and devices. For radiopharmaceutical synthesis, the whole synthesizer integrated with SPE sample preparation and fluidics systems is inside the shielded enclosure. The secure connection of the Luer-lock ensures no dislodgement due to high pressure, and hence no spillage and no hazardous material cleanup. Additionally, the Luer-lock connection enables the stacking of multiple SPE cartridges. Luer-lock SPE cartridges maintain continuity with current cartridges by only changing the connection from Luer-Tip to Luer-lock, while keeping other product attributes such as sorbent chemistry, frits, and plastic consistent.



96-well and 96-well µelution plates enable high-throughput SPE

Sep-Pak Plates utilize the same silica sorbents that have been proven for decades in our cartridges, enabling you to do high throughput solid-phase extraction. The plate design has been optimized for automated sample handling systems and standard vacuum manifolds. These plates are available with different silica sorbent mass selections to optimize sample loading.
