Shodex RSpak Columns

Shodex RSpak Reversed-Phase HPLC Columns are packed with porous polymeric material that are stable at a pH range of 2–12 and deliver an alternate selectivity to silica-based columns. The wide pH range makes the chromatographic analysis of basic compounds much easier because it is possible to analyze samples at a higher pH without the need for ion-pairing agents in the elution solvents.

These columns are packed with a more hydrophilic polymethacrylate stationary phase (DS-613) and work well with mobile phases containing relatively high concentrations of water. The DS-613 is a minimally hydrophobic sorbent column packing. Similar to conventional polymer-based materials, the DS-613 sorbent works well with samples that are more hydrophobic than hydrophilic, and as such, require relatively high concentrations of organic modifiers be present in elution solvents.
