Overview

Potency testing is the most frequently run assay in the cannabis and hemp industries for profiling main and emerging cannabinoids of interest. Critical for compliance with state and federal regulations, potency testing and cannabinoid profiling is also used for accurate product labeling, tracking extraction efficiency, and product formulation.

Waters potency testing and cannabinoid profiling solution is a comprehensive package that utilizes ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) technology for fastest run times, maximum chromatographic resolution, and lowest solvent usage. For those who need answers fast and a rapid return on investment, the Waters Cannabinoid Analyzer Solution includes:

Cannabis Varieties, Macro and Close Up Medical and Recreational Marijuana

UPC2 chromatograms showing (1) separation of the THC isomer standards, (2) analysis of CBD oil after being heated in an oven overnight at 55 °C, (3) analysis of CBD oil after being exposed to acidic conditions and heating overnight at 55 °C, and (4) analysis of untreated CBD oil (control). THC isomers that were identified in the CBD samples are indicated. The separations were achieved at 2 mL/min and 10% ethanol on the AMY1 column using 1 μL injections.
