Mass detection enables the detection of vitamins at low levels, as demonstrated by the SIR chromatogram of vitamin B12 using the ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector (A), compared to the UV chromatogram (B).
The stereoisomers of all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate were separated into two main peaks, while RRR-α-tocopheryl acetate showed a single sharp peak within 15 minutes on an ACQUITY UPC² System, offering a reliable method to differentiate between natural and synthetic vitamin E.
