The selectivity you need for method development

Maximize selectivity while minimizing variability with Waters XSelect Premier Columns, which provide the chemistries to enhance selectivity for method development while preventing unwanted analyte-surface interactions that can cause variability.

Two base particles, HSS and CSH, provide enhanced selectivity for acidic, basic, and neutral compounds across a wide pH range. For formic acid mobile phases, XSelect Premier CSH C18 Columns are the first choice for method development. You can enhance selectivity for aromatic compounds with XSelect Premier Phenyl-Hexyl Columns. Finally, increase retention for polar compounds under reversed-phase LC conditions with XSelect Premier HSS T3 Columns, which are compatible with 100% aqueous mobile phases.

The results you want. None of the interactions you don’t

When developing analytical methods, having the confidence that analytes will not interact with metal ions in the flow path is critical. Analyte/surface interactions can lead to poor peak shape, analyte loss/misidentification, and ultimately costly sample re-work. The MaxPeak HPS Technology found in Waters XSelect Premier Columns significantly reduces unwanted analyte/surface interactions, so you can be sure you’re seeing everything in your sample --from the first injection on.

Stay compliant with smart column options

Ideal for compliant laboratories, smart column options are available for identifying and tracking column information. The eCord is a data recording device which is permanently attached to the column body of 2.x μm particle size (2.1 and 3.0 mm internal diameter) and ACQUITY UPLC columns and is standard for those column offerings. Rather, the eConnect column tag is a permanently attached electronic tag device for HPLC columns (≥ 2.x μm particles) used with Alliance iS and Alliance iS Bio HPLC Systems that are optional. Data from column devices (eCord device or eConnect column tag) can be accessed using the respective system’s console. These smart-column abilities provide a quick overview of column history and can be utilized as a basic troubleshooting tool. Data residing on these devices are automatically imported by and later searchable via Empower CDS.
