Replace your existing laser 200 Hz or 1 KHz laser with a 2.5 KHz high repetition rate solid state laser system, offering a smaller spot size (avg 60 µm) and reduced ablation times for MALDI imaging experiments.

Instrument compatibility
Installation of the 2.5 KHz Laser is only applicable to SYNAPT G2 and SYNAPT G2-S instruments already fitted with a MALDI source.
Equipment and installation
The Spatial Resolution Upgrade Kit comprises:
- 2.5 KHz solid state Nd:YAG high repetition laser head & controller, with 355 nm wavelength and pulse energy variable to 25 μJ
- Conversion kit to support installation of new laser design (neutral density filter, PSU, cables, mounting brackets)
The Spatial Resolution Upgrade requires installation by a Waters Field Service Engineer.
