ProteinWorks eXpress Direct Digest Start-Up Kit
As the landscape of therapeutics and research shifts from small molecule to large molecule analysis, bioanalytical laboratories are in search of tools that offer a competitive advantage. Waters’ ProteinWorks Sample Preparation Kits in combination with robust and reliable LC-MS methods offer Discovery and Early Development laboratories a range of benefits. These laboratories can now achieve standardized, reproducible, and sensitive protein quantification using the surrogate peptide approach.
ProteinWorks is unmatched in performance and flexibility and offers the ProteinWorks eXpress Direct Digest Start-Up Kits. These kits include the lab equipment needed for fast and reproducible protein digestion, a mAb system check and training standard, and an µElution SPE kit for post-digestion cleanup. With pre-measured, lot-traceable reagents and standardized protocols, ProteinWorks provides the bioanalyst with a streamlined approach for the accurate, precise, and sensitive LC-MS quantification of proteins in plasma or serum.
The ProteinWorks eXpress Direct Digest Start-Up Kit includes the eXpress Direct Digest Kit (pre-measured and lot-traceable reagents, a flexible 96-tube sample collection module, and optimized protocol); ProteinWorks µElution SPE Cleanup Kit (optimized SPE protocol and Oasis µElution technology); Murine mAb Standard. ProteinWorks eXpress Digest Kits use a modular and flexible format for the analysis of 8 to 96 samples at a time.
In order to accommodate a wide range of proteins and a variety of diverse surrogate peptides for quantification, a 3-step (without alkylation and reduction) and a 5-step (with alkylation and reduction) protocols are provided with the kit. Along with these protocols, care and use information is included. Please note that the reagents are intended for research use only, not diagnostic or in vivo use.
The ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 Column, 100Å, 1.8 µm, 2.1 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk is recommended for use with this kit.
What Reagents Are Included In The ProteinWorks eXpress Direct Digest Start-Up Kit?
There are five reagents included in this kit: a Digestion buffer with enough reagent for 96 samples; a Reduction agent in 3 bottles, each usable for up to 32 samples; an Alkylation agent in 3 bottles, with each containing enough for up to 32 samples maximum; a Trypsin Dissolving Agent to reconstitute one bottle of trypsin; Trypsin; a Digestion Inactivation Agent containing enough for 96 samples. All reagents should be stored and reconstituted according to the individual guidelines provided.
