As a part of the Waters lab equipment for UPLC Amino Acid Analysis Application Solution, the AccQ-Tag Ultra Derivatization Kit contains five sets of derivatizing reagents that contribute to the optimal process. There are three vials in each set of reagents, containing the following:
AccQ-Tag Ultra Borate Buffer in Vial 1 is added to all samples to ensure the correct pH for derivatization.
AccQ-Tag Ultra Reagent Powder in Vial 2A is the 6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinmidyl carbamate (ACQ) derivatizing reagent, which is shipped dry for the maximum level of stability.
AccQ-Tag Ultra Reagent Diluent in Vial 2B is made from acetonitrile, which is used to reconstitute the reagent for the derivatization process.
These three components create the ability to perform derivatization without special sample preservation and with a high tolerance to buffer salts or sample components. Samples remain stable for several days after preparation.
