ACQUITY HSS C18 1.8µm 2.1x100mm 3/pk

Meet the challenges of the laboratory easily and also deliver greater productivity and success in your lab work using the Waters ACQUITY HSS C18 Column. The ACQUITY column uses the Waters HSS (High Strength Silica) technology, which has been formulated to withstand UPLC pressures using a mechanically tolerant, silica-based material. The particle technology behind the Waters HSS is an innovative synthetic process that is able to significantly increase the mechanical stability of silica while maintaining pore volumes similar to that of HPLC silica-based materials. The use of this technology means that you get increased retentivity compared to hybrid particle technology, and the HSS serves as the ideal substrate to create stationary phases that offer alternate selectivity.

You can use the ACQUITY UPLC HSS C18 Column across a broad range of compound classes as it is a general-purpose silica-based C18 column. The column is trifunctionally bonded to the HSS particle substrate and is able to offer excellent peak shapes and low-pH stability. The column provides this in addition to delivering increased retention when the comparison is made to hybrid-based C18 columns.

By using the Waters ACQUITY HSS C18 Column, you will also be easily able to conduct low pH separations that contain complex mixtures of basic and non-basic compounds. The column will equip you with alternative analyte selectivity compared to most modern, high coverage, fully end-capped C18 stationary phases. Additionally, since the ACQUITY UPLC HSS C18 SB Column is fully scalable and transferable to HPLC separations, it will be a valuable asset to your lab that you will come to depend on for important analyses.

The utilization of the ACQUITY HSS C18 Column will ensure that you get superior peak shape for basic compounds, low column bleed, excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility, ultra-efficiencies, and seamless transferability between column formats.

What Temperature Is Suitable For ACQUITY HSS C18 Column?

Recommended temperature range between 20–45 °C is suitable for ACQUITY HSS C18 Column in order to enhance selectivity, lower solvent viscosity, and increase mass transfer rates. Further, when operating at high pH, lower operating temperatures are recommended for a longer column lifetime.
