Product Description

ACQUITY CSH C18 columns were designed to provide alternate selectivity compared to other reversed-phase UPLC columns. These ultra-efficient columns overcome peak shape asymmetry and poor loading capacity for basic compounds, column bleed, and rapid mobile-phase re-equilibration.

ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 100 mm, 3/pk

With the widest range of selectivities in any modern LC columns, ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns offer alternate selectivity compared to other UPLC columns without sacrificing the necessary performance attributes that method development scientists depend on, like super peak shape for basic compounds, low column bleed, excellent batch to batch reproducibility, ultra-efficiencies, and seamless transferability between different particle sizes and column formats.

These benefits are made possible by the use of Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) Technology, an innovative method designed to provide alternate selectivity when compared with other reversed-phase UPLC columns. To achieve these results, we start with the rugged, ultra-efficient, ethylene bridged hybrid (BEH) particle and then apply a controlled, low-level surface charge. The particle is then finished with the appropriate bonded phase chemistry and end-capping process. This method allows for improved reproducibility along with rapid equilibration when changing mobile phase pH.

This piece of lab equipment comes with one column per package, with each ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column at an inner diameter of 2.1 mm and a length of 100 mm. Packing materials are all designed specifically for the ACQUITY UPLC Systems and are manufactured in a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility that uses ultra-pure reagents.

Each batch of material is tested chromatographically with acidic, basic, and neutral analytes, and results are held to narrow specification ranges. This process ensures excellent and reproducible performance of all columns. Each column is tested individually and comes with a Performance Chromatogram and Certificate of Batch Analysis for your records. Columns can be tested further using Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material.

Are ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Columns Good For Isolation And Purification?

The combination of UPLC technology and CSH technology offers industry-leading benefits for isolation and purification scientists. Because the columns offer the highest loading of basic compounds separated under volatile, acidic, low pH mobile phase conditions, they are preferred by isolation and purification scientists. The increased loadability allows for the use of narrower, lower volume preparative columns, reducing solvent consumption and fraction volumes. Scalability is also built into these columns, allowing for pH switching with a resistance to column performance degradation. Fast, robust analytical-scale separations can be developed and scaled for use in isolation and purification laboratories.
