Symmetry Shield RP18 Column, 100Å, 3.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk
Use the Symmetry Shield RP18 column to deliver the same, reproducible chromatographic results over the life of a new drug product. The lab equipment is ideally suited for applications such as the establishment of new analytical methods for the latest pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products as it offers exceptional reproducibility. The analytical column is designed to narrow column specifications to ensure you can benefit from reproducible results. This is achieved by ensuring that the surface coverage requirements are the tightest specifications in the industry. This results in minimal shifts in resolution and more reproducible batch-to-batch and column-to-column results.
The Symmetry Shield RP18 column contains the Waters patented embedded polar group technology. This technology has been designed to “shield” the silica’ residual silanol surface of the column from highly basic analytes. The resulting reduced silanol activity for the SymmetryShield RP18 column offers significantly improved peak shape and resolution.
The high bonding density and minimal residual silanol activity of the packing materials of the Symmetry Shield RP18 column deliver superior peak shape across the 2-8 pH range. This makes it possible for you to easily optimize your method as well as work at neutral or low pH, without worrying about losing the peak shape.
Compared to the traditional C18 and C8 columns, the Symmetry Shield RP18 column has silanol activity which results in less retention for basic compounds. This makes the Symmetry Shield RP18 column ideally suited to be an excellent method development tool.
