XTerra Shield RP8 Column, 125Å, 5 µm, 4.6 mm X 250 mm, 1/pk
Overcome the significant limitations of the silica-based reversed-phase packing materials using the XTerra Shield RP8 Column. The lab equipment uses the Waters patented organic/inorganic Hybrid Particle Technology (HPT) which is designed specifically to target the hydrolytic instability at high pH of the traditional silica columns. As such, the XTerra Shield RP8 Column is the first commercially available alternative to silica-based column technology.
Add the XTerra Shield RP8 Column to your lab equipment collection and benefit from its unique features. The column offers key advantages such as mechanical strength, highly spherical shape, purity, pore dimensions, surface area, ability to tailor particle size, pore dimensions, surface area, and surface chemistry. This is made possible by leveraging traditional bonding agents. It also makes the XTerra Shield RP8 Column general-purpose and able to deliver peak shape performance for highly basic compounds while maintaining high efficiency of separation. The analytical column also provides improved pH stability and can operate on a wide-scale pH range (2-12).
The XTerra Shield RP8 Column is manufactured using high purity methyl hybrid material which is produced through a method similar to that of high-purity silica. However, one major difference is that the XTerra material is formed from the mixed condensation of two high purity monomers instead of one. The XTerra column is made through the Hybrid Particle Synthesis of Tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and methyltriethoxysilane (MTEOS). In addition to this, the columns are manufactured under ISO 9001 conditions, ensuring each step is conducted to the highest standards and narrowest tolerances. Every column is also individually tested to make sure it delivers the promised performance. Certificates of Batch Analysis and Column Efficiency are also provided with each column.
