Atlantis dC18 Column, 100Å, 3 µm, 4.6 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk

Use the Atlantis dC18 Column to benefit from the ideal balance of retention for both polar and nonpolar compounds. The analytical column is a universal C18 Column and fully LC/MS compatible. The Atlantis dC18 Column also delivers superior retention of polar compounds without exhibiting excessive retention of hydrophobic compounds when compared to conventional reversed-phase HPLC columns. While being compatible with aqueous mobile phases, the Atlantis dC18 Column provides enhanced pH stability.

The packing material of the Atlantis dC18 Column was specially created after extensive research to deliver retention and separation of polar, water-soluble compounds. This is why the silica-based, difunctionally bonded C18 materials of the Atlantis dC18 Column make it an ideal piece of lab equipment for reversed-phase HPLC. The lab equipment combines the optimized stationary phase physical attributes such as end-capping, silica pore size, bonded phase ligand density, and ligand type to deliver superior peak shape, low pH stability, resistance to dewetting (hydrophobic collapse), and enhanced polar compound retention.

You can get enhanced polar compound retention with the Atlantis dC18 Column due to its advanced stationary phase which has been designed to be compatible with aqueous mobile phases necessary for retaining hydrophilic compounds. As the Atlantis dC18 Column is fully end-capped, it also delivers exceptional peak shapes for bases.

In addition to being suitable for the separation of polar compounds, the Atlantis dC18 Column is well suited to standard applications of reversed-phase. It also guarantees extended column lifetime along with low pH stability. This is achieved by the use of the difunctional silane bonding chemistry that offers excellent stability under acidic mobile conditions.

You may also want to explore the Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material, which is designed to be used as a system benchmarking standard. It contains 7 compounds including uracil, butylparaben, naphthalene, propranolol, dipropyl phthalate, acenaphthene, and amitriptyline at pH 7.

How Is The Atlantis dC18 Column Equilibrated?

As the Atlantis dC18 Column comes packed and shipped in 100% acetonitrile, it is important to make certain that the solvent is compatible before changing to a new solvent. You can equilibrate the Atlantis dC18 Column using 10 column volumes of the mobile phase to be used.
