The ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC Column uses the Hydrophilic-Interaction Chromatography (HILIC), which is a complementary chromatographic technique that can be used to successfully improve the retention of very polar species. In addition to this, it provides an orthogonal separation mode for mixtures of polar and ionizable compounds.
