ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk
Utilize a controlled, low-level surface charge in order to provide enhanced selectivity and excellent peak shape, especially in low ionic strength mobile phases with the latest advancement in hybrid materials, Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) Technology. CSH combines the rugged, ultra-efficient BEH particle with reproducible low-level charge to the particle surface and functionalizes with appropriate bonded-phase chemistry in order to create optimal results for chromatographers. The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column is a universal choice within the Waters family of lab equipment that is suitable for a range of compound classes.
Achieve exceptional peak shape and increased loading capacity, specifically for basic compounds under low pH and weak ionic strength mobile phase conditions with the CSH particle platform and alternate selectivity to BEH C18. The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns also boast exceptional stability and advanced column equilibration with both low and high pH.
The scalability built into ACQUITY UPLC CSH columns allows for the use of UPLC technology as a powerful method development tool, particularly for the isolation and purification science. The selectivity, loadability, and scalability of this technology are combined with the throughput, sensitivity, and transferable analytical-scale method development of UPLC technology for superior results. When utilized in conjunction with TruView LCMS Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 column provides exceptional alternate selectivity.
By addressing the key issues found when reversed-phase columns are used with acidic, low ionic strength mobile phases, CSH Technology offers a new level of performance for acidic MS-compatible mobile phases. With a 1.7 µm particle size, separations using these columns can be seamlessly scaled between UPLC and analytical/preparative HPLC separations.
CSH Technology offers unique column selectivity and industry-leading reproducibility. To ensure superior and reproducible performance, each batch of ACQUITY CSH material is tested chromatographically with acidic, basic, and neutral analytes. These results are held to narrow specification ranges.
What Does UPLC Improve?
UPLC is a modern technique used in liquid chromatography. It refers to ultra performance liquid chromatography and is known to enhance three primary areas- speed, resolution, and sensitivity. It is most applicable for particles less than 2µm in diameter, where results are shown to improve when compared with HPLC. Since its introduction in 2004, UPLC has been able to almost double the overall operating pressure (to 15,000 psi) in order to achieve more rapid flow rates. UPLC developers are able to obtain equal or better resolution separations in much shorter time frames.
