ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk

Built on the Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) particle platform, ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Columns offer complementary selectivity to straight-chain alkyl phases, especially when working with polyaromatic compounds. These columns also provide exceptional peak shape under both low and high pH conditions.

The column uses a trifunctionally bonded C6 phenyl ligand sorbent for robust and low-bleed results which selectively retain polyaromatic compounds through pi-pi interactions.

CSH Technology is designed for high efficiency and superior loading capacity for basic compounds on low ionic strength, acidic mobile phases. The 1.7 µm particle incorporates low-level surface charge that helps to improve sample loadability and peak asymmetry while maintaining the mechanical and chemical stability inherent to the BEH particle. This leads to increased loading capacity, improved reproducibility between batches, exceptional stability across pH ranges, and rapid column equilibration after changing mobile phase pH. Column life is also improved and can be extended using lab equipment like the ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk.

ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Columns are end-capped using a proprietary process to ensure excellent peak shapes and chemical stability. These columns are sold 1 to a package with dimensions of 2.1 mm x 50 mm and pore size of 130Å and a 1.7 µm particle size.

All CSH packing materials are manufactured in a cGMP, ISO 9001:2000 certified plant using ultra-pure reagents. Each batch of material is tested chromatographically with acidic, basic, and neutral analytes with the results held to narrow specification ranges, assuring excellent and reproducible performance.

How Should I Prepare Samples For Use With ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Columns?

There are some tips that can help to ensure continued performance of columns. As sample impurities often contribute to column contamination, tools like SPE Cartridges/Columns can be used to clean up the sample before analysis to clean up the sample. It is preferable to prepare samples in the operating mobile phase or a mobile phase that is weaker than the mobile phase in order to ensure the best possible peak shape and sensitivity. If the sample is not dissolved in the mobile phase, be sure the sample, solvent, and mobile phases are miscible to avoid sample and/or buffer precipitation.
