ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 3 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk
Powered by Waters’ Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) particle, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column is perfect for chromatographers looking to achieve superior peak shape across low and high pH conditions. These columns offer complementary selectivity in straight-chain alkyl phases, making them excellent pieces of lab equipment for working with polyaromatic compounds. Backed by Waters’ market-leading reproducibility, these columns offer unique levels of column selectivity and superior peak shape. The loading capacity is optimized for work with basic compounds at both low and high pH, eliminating the necessity of ion-pair reagents, which enables exceptional stability that facilitates advanced column equilibration and low and high pH.
ACQUITY UPLC CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Columns are built on CSH technology from Waters, which uses controlled, low-level surface charged to provide the required peak shape and selectivity for low ionic strength mobile phases. Waters has patented this process, which takes the rugged and efficient unbonded BEH particle, then applies controlled surface charge before functionalizing with the relevant bonded phase chemistry. A proprietary end-capping process is then used to complete this.
Because of the low level controlled surface charge found in the CSH particles, the trifunctionally bonded phenyl-hexyl ligand is able to enable peak shape and performance, which surpass other columns, even when using basic compounds in an ionized form under acidic mobile-phase conditions.
These columns are highly reproducible due to Waters’ process for testing each batch of material chromatographically, using acidic, basic, and neutral analytes. All results are held to narrow specification ranges. If further testing is needed, Neutrals QC Reference Material can be purchased through Waters.
Why Does My Column Include A QR Code?
Each column’s label will include a quick reference (QR) code to provide column-specific information. This may include part and serial numbers that serve as unique identifiers for the column. The encoding on these follows the widely adopted standards of the industry. To use this code, scan it using any device capable of using a QR code. This generally includes smartphones and tablets via the built-in camera application. This will direct you to an information hub on waters.com that allows you to access technical and scientific information regarding your column.
