XSelect CSH C18 Prep Guard Cartridge, 130Å, 5 µm, 30 mm X 10 mm, 1/pk

Both HPLC and SFC 30 mm ID Prep OBDTM columns are protected by the Prep Guard Cartridge and the 30x10mm Prep Guard Holder (part number 186006912). Longer column lives and lower purification costs can be achieved by placing this guard assembly ahead of the prep column.

XSelect CSH C18 Columns, Prep Columns, and Guard Cartridges provide unsurpassed selectivity and reproducibility for your chromatographic analysis and are designed to separate tightly eluting sample elements with varying analyte selectivity. When compared to conventional C18 sorbents, XSelect CSH C18 columns, prep columns, and guard cartridges can be employed as general-purpose columns that provide alternate selectivity. These columns are made with Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) technology, which helps them overcome common column difficulties such as asymmetry in peak form and poor landing for basic chemicals, column bleed, and sluggish mobile-phase re-equilibrium.

CSH Technology offers a number of benefits, including superior peak shape for basic compounds and high peak capacity for complex mixtures; increased mass load for preparative separation without the use of ion-pairing reagents; and rapid column equilibration, allowing for rapid changes in mobile-phase conditions and pH to screen multiple mobile-phase conditions.

The XSelect CSH C18 Prep Guard Cartridge is built from the same packing material as the XSelect CSH C18 Column, making it compatible with the analytical column and helping protect the column and extend its lifetime. The XSelect CSH C18 Prep Guard Cartridge will also help you save money on purification.

You might also be interested in reviewing the Waters Preparative Chromatography Mix Standard; the Quality Control Reference Material portfolio is a unique collection of standards and mixtures that allow the user to evaluate and benchmark their chromatography system before analysis of critical material. The Preparative Chromatography Standard is 5 mg/mL each of Diclofenac sodium salt, Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, and Flavone in DMSO-- this standard mix should be used to confirm the benchmark performance of your preparative or purification system.

What Is The Maximum Pressure That The XSelect CSH C18 Prep Guard Cartridge Can Withstand?

The XSelect CSH C18 Column is designed to handle pressure of 6000 psi (415 bar) and a particle size of 10 m with a pore size of 130, although it is always suggested not to exceed the maximum range to guarantee the greatest possible column longevity and efficacy. In low pH situations, your equipment should be kept at 80 degrees Celsius, and in high pH conditions, it should be kept at 45 degrees Celsius.
