Product Description

ACQUITY APC XT columns are optimized to provide highly efficient size-based separations for organic solvent soluble polymer characterization. The sorbent uses patented Ethylene Bridge Hybrid (BEH) technology to provide a mechanical strong packed bed that resists shinking and swelling for easy mobile phase solvent switching. The expected molecular weight range for this column is approximatley 200 - 5, 000 g/mole.

ACQUITY APC BEH Column, 45Å, 1.7 µm, 4.6 mm X 150 mm, 200 - 5K, 1/pk

Add the Waters ACQUITY APC BEH Column to your lab equipment collection as it has been optimized to provide highly efficient size-based separations for organic solvent-soluble polymer characterization. The sorbent present in the analytical column utilizes Waters’ patented Ethylene Bridge Hybrid (BEH) technology which provides a mechanical strong packed bed that resists shrinking and swelling for easy mobile phase solvent switching. Using the product listed here, you can characterize molecular weights in the range of 200 - 5,000 g/mole.

Use the ACQUITY APC BEH Column in conjunction with the ACQUITY™Advanced Polymer Chromatography™ (APC™) System as it is designed to be used with the system and delivers maximum separation performance when used with it. The ACQUITY APC System uses tubing and connectors that have been designed to meet stringent tolerances to minimize extra-column volume within the system.

The sub-3-µm ethylene bridged hybrid (BEH) particles used in the packing of the ACQUITY APC BEH Column enable it to provide the mechanical strength, packed-bed stability, and high separation efficiency, which are the distinctive features of the column. Using these attributes, the lab equipment can deliver superior chromatographic performance for all polymer classes, including low molecular weight aqueous and organic soluble polymers.

The high-coverage trimethylsilane bonded to a BEH substrate of the ACQUITY APC BEH Column enables it to be used for extended temperatures separations of up to 90 °C in organic solvents.

Like all lab equipment that is manufactured by Waters, the ACQUITY APC BEH Column is manufactured in our ISO 9001 facility and is held to narrow specification ranges to ensure reproducible performance. In addition to this, every column is individually tested, and a Certificate of Batch Analysis is provided on the attached eCord™ Intelligent Chip.

How Should The ACQUITY APC BEH Column Be Stored?

Special storage procedures are not necessary if the column will be used again within 24 hours. Maintain operating temperature and reduce the flow rate to 0.1 mL/min when columns are not in use for up to 24 hours. For maximum column life, avoid temperature cycling. Do not leave a column at elevated temperature without solvent flow. For longer storage periods, return the column to its box with the end plugs firmly in place.
