CORTECS C18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 3 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk

CORTECS C18 Columns are an ideal piece of lab equipment as they enable you to resolve complex mixtures or maintain resolution while increasing throughput. Most chromatographers choose C18 ligands for their excellent retention and stability. The CORTECS C18 material is a traditional C18 bonded phase that exhibits balanced retention of bases, acids, and neutrals at low- and mid-range pH and provides excellent efficiency, resolution, and retention for complex analyte mixtures. The CORTECS C18 Columns are general-purpose, high-efficiency columns based on a solid-core particle that offer balanced retention of acids, bases, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH.

The CORTECS C18 Columns are based on solid-core particles that give improved performance by lowering each of the three terms of the van Deemter equation. The A term is lowered as the solid core particles pack more uniformly, the B term is lowered as the solid core particles exhibit lower particle porosity which reduces axial diffusion, and they lower the C term as their solid core improves heat transfer, reducing radial temperature gradients.

To learn more about the variation of the same product, such as the CORTECS C18 Column listed here, or to find different products that work with it or even to shop for lab equipment so you can replenish your stock and add to your existing equipment portfolio, you can browse our website and refer to our catalog.

We also recommend you to review the CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridge, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk as these VanGuard Cartridges are used to extend analytical column lifetime and performance by removing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream; they are optimized to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm ID CORTECS C18 analytical columns containing 2.7 µm sorbent particles.

What Is The Maximum Pressure The CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridge Can Operate Up To?

The CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridge can tolerate operating pressures up to 18000 psi (or 1240 Bar). However, you should note that working at the extremes of pressures, pH, and/or temperatures will result in shorter column lifetimes.

What Is The Principle of Mass Spectrometry?

The principle of mass spectrometry (MS) is to generate ions from either inorganic or organic compounds by any suitable methods, as well as to separate these ions by their mass to charge ratio (m/z) and to detect them qualitatively and quantitatively by their respective m/z and abundance.
