The Waters XBridge Protein BEH SEC Guard Column is the first line of defense for the XBridge Protein BEH SEC, 200 Å Columns, containing 3.5um particles. The analytical columns are based on the same Waters Ethylene Bridged Hybrid (BEH)-based particle technology and diol-bonded surface coating as used in our successful line of HPLC-based SEC columns and are best suited for the separation of proteins ranging from 10,000 – 450,000 Daltons.

The guard column is a type of protective lab equipment that is installed between the injector and the analytical column and functions by removing the chemical impurities and suspended solids from reaching the analytical column.
