XSelect HSS C18 XP VanGuard Cartridge, 100Å, 2.5 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk

The High Strength Silica (HSS) technology used in the XSelect HSS C18 Columns & Cartridges was specifically designed to provide chromatography-specific benefits such as increased polar molecule retention and different selectivity. Furthermore, the mechanical strength of the HSS particle allows it to withstand UPLC pressures. It is also completely scalable and suitable for UPLC separations.

XSelect HSS C18 VanGuard Cartridges are used to extend the lifetime and performance of analytical columns by removing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream. This cartridge has been designed to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. XSelect HSS C18 analytical columns with 2.5 m sorbent particles.

For difficult samples, higher-resolution separations are required to separate and quantify sample constituents. You can increase the resolution of extremely complex samples by using the XSelect HSS C18 XP VanGuard Cartridge to protect the XSelect HSS C18 Column, which combines efficiency and selectivity.

How Long Does It Take To Change A Column In General?

In HPLC, column changes serve as a valuable tool for method development, allowing for the flexibility of switching columns when necessary. To prevent the presence of air in the column entrance, it is advised to slowly fill the inlet fitting of the new column with solvent from the injector outlet line. To re-establish equilibrium within the column, it is recommended to flush the column with a minimum of six column volumes of the new solvent before injecting a sample. The first injection should be disregarded, as subsequent injections, starting from the second or third, tend to exhibit reproducibility.
