XTerra Phenyl VanGuard Cartridge, 125 Å, 3.5 µm, 2.1 mm x 5 mm, 3/pk

By clearing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream, XTerra Phenyl VanGuard Cartridges are used to increase the lifespan and performance of the XTerra Phenyl Columns. This cartridge has been designed to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. XTerra Phenyl analytical columns with 3.5 m sorbent particles.

Waters Hybrid Particle Technology was used to create the packing materials used in the XTerra Phenyl VanGuard Cartridges, which are compatible with the XTerra Phenyl Column. The XTerra particles combine inorganic (silica) and organic (organosiloxane) components to provide the best of both worlds. In terms of separation efficiency and pH stability, this Hybrid approach outperforms Silica-based reversed-phase packing materials. To control the chemical composition and purity of the Hybrid particle, XTerra equipment is made with ultrapure reagents. Every manufacturing step is performed within tight tolerances, and each column is independently tested. Each piece of equipment comes with certificates for Batch Analysis and Column Efficiency.

Use the VanGuard Cartridge to protect the XTerra Phenyl Column, a valuable piece of laboratory equipment that can provide additional selectivity to straight-chain alkyl stationary phases, particularly for compounds with aromatic rings. It also has a good peak shape for all compounds, extremely repeatable retention lengths, high pH stability, and excellent surface coverage. This is made possible by the powerful combination of Hybrid Particle Technology and Xterra phenyl chemistry, which results in a novel stationary phase with these exceptional properties. Furthermore, the difunctional bonding chemistry of the short-chain phenyl ligand of the XTerra Phenyl Column improves the column's low pH hydrolytic stability. This novel substrate and ligand enhance the selectivity of complex mixture separations.

To meet your chromatographic needs, the Xterra Columns are available in a variety of porosity and particle sizes. More information about them can be found in our catalog or on our website, and you can also shop for lab equipment through either medium.

Consider adding the Waters LCMS Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk to your lab equipment collect; each Waters LCMS Certified vial is manufactured using strictly regulated manufacturing and handling techniques. They are analyzed using mass spectrometers and come with an analysis certificate displaying the reference and vial scan for the production batch.

What Purpose Do Phenolic Compounds Have?

From a human physiological standpoint, phenolic chemicals play an important role in defense reactions such as anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiproliferative effects.
