CORTECS Shield RP18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 4.6 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk
Use the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column whenever the analysis requires you to leverage complementary selectivity to C8 and C18 stationary phases. An embedded carbamate group in the bonded phase ligand of the lab equipment provides alternate selectivity, especially for phenolic compounds compared to straight-chain alkyl columns. The solid core particle morphology of the CORTECS Column offers high efficiency and lower back pressures when it is compared to fully porous particles of similar particle size.
The addition of the Waters CORTECS Shield RP18 Column to your lab will gain you multiple benefits. The lab equipment is versatile and has been designed to be general-purpose and deliver high-efficiency results. As it is based on a solid-core particle that offers balanced retention of acids, bases, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH, the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column is able to deliver an excellent peak shape for basic analytes at low pH.
Use the general-purpose CORTECS Shield RP18 Column in order to resolve complex mixtures or maintain resolution while increasing throughput. The column is able to deliver exceptional results as its solid-core particles give better performance by lowering each of the three terms of the van Deemter equation. The A term of the equation is lowered as the solid core particles pack more uniformly, while the B term is lowered as the solid core particles exhibit lower particle porosity which reduces axial diffusion. They lower the C term as their solid core improves heat transfer, reducing radial temperature gradients.
By simply raising the flow rate of the method, the column enables you to increase sample throughput with comparable or even better peak capacities. The addition of the column also helps to reduce your lab operation costs by giving you the ability to run multiple samples in the same amount of time. It provides the speed of analysis without reducing separation performance.
