The Waters HSS (High Strength Silica) particle technology is also present in the ACQUITY Premier HSS T3 Column. The HSS technology has been created to withstand UPLC pressures using a mechanically tolerant, silica-based material. This innovative synthetic process significantly increases the mechanical stability of silica while maintaining pore volumes similar to that of HPLC silica-based materials and helps the column deliver increased retentivity compared to hybrid particle technology. In addition to this, the HSS serves as the ideal substrate to create stationary phases that offer alternate selectivity.
The ACQUITY Premier HSS T3 Column is made using packing materials designed specifically for use with the ACQUITY UPLC System and is manufactured in a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified plant using ultra-pure reagents.
