ACQUITY Premier CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column 1.7 µm, 2.1 x 150mm, 1/pk
The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns were designed by Waters, the world's foremost specialist measurement business, in response to feedback gathered at numerous client forums. Waters developed the Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) Technology, which is the basic mechanism behind the ACQUITY UPLC CSH columns, using the next generation of particle technology.
In comparison to other reversed-phase UPLC columns, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns have a wider range of selectivity and are not as expensive as Waters' other alternatives. The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns are ultra-efficient and offer a wide variety of selectivity and sensitivity without compromising important performance characteristics like peak shape for basic chemicals, low column bleed, and seamless transferability across particle sizes and column formats.
The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns provide Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) peak shape performance without the introduction of TFA, making method development faster and more straightforward. Although Trifluoroacetic Acid produces crisp peak morphologies for basic chemicals, it is an ion-pairing agent that is difficult to remove from the ACQUITY phase after being exposed to a Liquid Chromatography column. With MS-friendly mobile phase additives such as formic acid, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns give better peak shape performance. As formic acid does not react with an ion-pairing agent, this leads to a faster and more straightforward technique development.
Under acidic, low ionic strength mobile phase conditions, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 columns provide increased analytical loadability, delivering sharper, narrower peaks for basic chemicals. The columns are also suitable for isolation and purification due to their enhanced loadability, allowing them to use a smaller preparative column, lowering solvent consumption and fraction quantities.

We also recommend that you to review the ACQUITY Premier CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column with VanGuard FIT, 1.7 µm, 2.1 x 150 mm, 1/pk; ACQUITY CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Columns are used to provide alternative analyte selectivity and are a valuable tool for method development. The trifunctionally bonded C6 phenyl ligand is a robust, low bleed sorbent that selectively retains polyaromatic compounds through pi-pi interactions.
What Is The pH Range That The ACQUITY Premier CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column Should Be Used In?
The ACQUITY Premier CSH Phenyl-Hexyl Column can operate in a pH range of 1 to 11, but working at high pressures, pH, and/or temperatures will result in shorter column lives.
