Bondapak C18 Column, 125Å, 15 - 20 µm, 3.9 mm X 300 mm, 1/pk

Bondapak C18 comes in two particle sizes: 15-20µm and 37-55µm, allowing for easy method transfer from Bondapak to preparative scale up. Bondapak offers the finest blend of resolution, throughput, and cost for establishing a novel purification technique.

Waters is the only company in the world that manufactures authentic analytical columns with Bondapak C18 packing material. There are other rivals on the market that claim their analytical columns offer similar characteristics and selectivity to the Bondapak family, but none of them have passed Waters' stringent quality control tests. Waters BondaPak and µBondaPak packing materials have proved year-to-year repeatability for nearly fifty years, which is why Bondapak & µBondapak are the most commonly referenced column brands.

With the right lab equipment, you can boost your productivity. Check out our catalog or website to shop for lab equipment and learn more about different product offerings and variations from Waters, such as the Bondapak C18 Column, and ensure your lab needs are met as needed.

We recommend you also check out the Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material. The collection of Quality Control Reference Materials is a one-of-a-kind collection of standards and mixtures. Before analyzing key material, these items allow users to analyze and benchmark their chromatography equipment. The portfolio's items have all been uniquely created using Waters scientists' knowledge. The Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material is a complicated reference material mixture because it comprises components that can be difficult to separate. It is designed to provide this level of complexity and is suited for frequently performing difficult experiments. It works with a wide range of column chemistries and sizes, as well as system hardware. The Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material contains 7 chemicals, including uracil, butylparaben, naphthalene, propranolol, dipropyl-phthalate, acenaphthene, and amitriptyline at pH 7.

What Is The Difference Between HPLC Columns C8 And C18?

C8 and C18 are two types of straight-chain alkyl groups that are employed in reverse-phase chromatography for silica surface modification. Aqueous somewhat polar mobile phase is used in reverse-phase chromatography. The main difference between C8 and C18 columns used in HPLC is that the stationary phase of the C8 columns includes octyl carbon chain (C8)-bonded silica, but the C18 column contains octadecyl carbon chain (C18)-bonded silica. The C8 columns are also less hydrophobic and have a lower density, whereas the C18 columns are more hydrophobic and have a higher density. As a result, C8 columns have a short retention period, but C18 columns have a longer retention time. As a result, the C8 columns achieve lower separation, whereas the C18 columns achieve higher separation.
