Styragel HMW columns are perfect for use in high-molecular-weight applications since they are packed with a 20 m particle and make use of a unique 10 m frit to reduce polymer shearing. In order to analyze ultra-high molecular weight polymers that are vulnerable to shearing, the Styragel HMW Columns were created expressly for that purpose. The Styragel HMW Columns reduce the effects of polymer shear by combining high-porosity 10 nm frits and 20 nm particles. These cutting-edge columns have exceptional column longevity and can be used at either ambient or increased temperatures.

What Special Storage Conditions Apply To The Styragel Columns?
No additional storage precautions are needed if you intend to use the Styragel GPC HR Columns again within 24 hours, but you should watch out for the column drying up. Put the end plugs back on the column and put it in its box so it may be stored for longer periods of time. Your Styragel GPC HR Column will dry out and become damaged if you keep it at high temperatures without consistent solvent flow.
