Styragel GPC Column, 5 µm, 7.8 mm X 300 mm, 5K - 600K, 1/pk
Designed specifically for use with low molecular weight samples, Styragel GPC columns are ideal for the analysis of oligomers, epoxies, and polymer additives where high resolution is critical. These columns are packed with rigid 5-µm particles, allowing them to deliver unrivaled resolution and efficiency in the low to mid molecular weight region, with the high plate counts necessary to complete this type of analysis.
With over 40 years of experience, Waters has crafted and refined the instrumentation, packing materials, lab equipment, and technology necessary to optimize Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), allowing for techniques to expand beyond original polymer analysis, including applications for separating small and large molecules from interfering matrices. This includes those found in foods, pharmaceutical preparations, and natural products. As a market leader in GPC, Waters offers high-quality GPC products and expert applications support. This includes the Styragel GPC Column, 5 µm, 7.8 mm X 300 mm, 5K - 600K, 1/pk which can be used to expand the lifetime of your Styragel GPC Columns.
All manufacturing facilities follow strict ISO, FDA, and cGMP guidelines, ensuring reproducibility and technology that is at the forefront of separation science. Each column is packed with high-performance, fully porous, highly cross-linked styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer particles Each column is shipped in three solvents: toluene, tetrahydrofuran (THF), and dimethylformamide (DMF). This Styragel GPC Column has dimensions of 7.8 x 300 m and is sold in packs of one, offering a molecular weight range of 5,000 – 600,000 and a pH range of 2 – 12.
How Should I Store Styragel GPC Columns?
If the column needs to be stored for less than 24 hours before it will be used again, no special storage considerations or procedures are necessary as long as you take care that the columns never dry out. When longer storage periods are necessary, the column should be returned to the box with the end plugs firmly in place before being stored. Columns should not be left at elevated temperatures when there is no solvent flow. To ensure maximum column life, avoid temperature cycling. It is helpful to maintain operating temperature and reduce the flow rate to 0.1 mL/min when columns are not being used. In order to restart the column, maintain a flow rate of 0.1 mL/min and increase the temperature gradually over 10 hours, then set the flow rate to the desired operating flow.
