Symmetry C8 Column, 100Å, 5 µm, 3.9 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk

Eliminate the need for revalidating methods with each new batch of columns as the Symmetry C8 Columns. These columns contain monofunctionally bonded C8 ligands on a high purity base-deactivated silica, giving them some of the tightest column specifications in the industry.

Not only can you leverage excellent reproducibility year after year, but the Symmetry C8 Columns can also give long life to established analytical methods. The Symmetry C8 Columns are the perfect lab equipment for all your chromatographic needs as they last over 10,000 injections with next to no loss in efficiency, minimal increase in backpressure, and minimal change in retention time.

Deliver consistent performance with the Symmetry C6 Columns which optimize the two key factors that control column lifetime, namely the hydraulic stability of the packing material and the mechanical stability of the packed bed.

Get superior peak shape across the pH range of 2-8 with the Symmetry C8 Columns. This is achieved by the high bonding density and minimal residual silanol activity of the packing materials. This will enable you to work at neutral pH or low pH and optimize your method without compromising peak shape.

You may also be interested in other lab equipment such as the Symmetry C18 Column, 100Å, 3.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 75 mm, 1/pk, similar to the product listed here but suitable for analytes with particle size 3.5 µm and analysis where a 4.6mm internal diameter (I.D.) and 75mm column length are required.

What Storage Instructions Should Be Followed For Symmetry Columns?

The Symmetry column should be stored in 100% acetonitrile after use to ensure maximum column lifetime and performance. Do not store the column in aqueous-based mobile phases containing buffers, or salts. Flush the column with at least 10 column volumes of HPLC grade water followed by at least 15 column volumes of 100% HPLC grade acetonitrile before storing if the mobile phase eluent had acidic or alkaline additives, buffers or salts. If these instructions are not carried out, it could result in precipitation of the buffer salt in the column or degrade column performance. To avoid evaporation and drying out of the bed, ensure that the Symmetry column is completely sealed using the supplied end plugs.
