µBondapak C18 Guard-Pak Insert, 125Å, 10 µm, 10/pk
Methods that call for irregular particle technology call for columns that contain µBondapak technology and C18 packing materials, a combination only offered in Waters columns. No other column has passed the stringent quality control batch tests, which is why µBondapak is one of the world’s most referenced columns and the lab equipment is known for its excellent reproducibility. Because of the unique benefits offered, it is critical to protect your µBondapak column from both particulate and chemical contamination with a µBondapak C18 Guard-Pak Insert.
This technology was developed as scientists saw reduced mechanical stability and lowered efficiency in HPLC packing materials comprised of irregular or non-spherical particles when compared with their spherical counterparts. Knowing that many methods require the use of sorbents with irregularly shaped particles, Waters committed over four decades to developing and improving reliable and consistent column performance. By manufacturing sorbents and bonded materials, Waters has been able to continue supporting columns and accessories for scientists working with irregular particles around the world. One way this ability is protected is through the use of accessories like the µBondapak C18 Guard-Pak Insert.
All Waters materials and Guard-Pak Inserts are manufactured under tightly controlled quality assurance processes and tested against narrow specification ranges, ensuring high quality and reproducible results across applications. Further testing can be performed using Reversed-Phase QC Reference Material.
This µBondapak C18 Guard-Pak Insert contains C18 sorbent and a particle size of 10 µm, with a pore size of 125 Å. 10 inserts are included in each package. Recommended pH range is 2 to 8 with a maximum pressure of 6000 psi or 415 bar.
What Happens If My µBondapak C18 Guard-Pak Insert Is Broken?
Guard-Pak Inserts fall under Waters Corporation’s warranty and service provisions. Waters will replace, at no cost, any holder or insert that fails to perform to your laboratory’s satisfaction if notice is received within 90 days of receipt of the product. Waters reserves the right to deny this return if any of the following conditions are met: damage to the insert due to abuse or misuse, damage due to use with incompatible solvents or use at incorrect temperature or pressure, failure or decreased performance due to normal use.
