Product Description

The 6 cc Oasis MAX cartridges contain the Oasis MAX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting acidic compounds with anion-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MAX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

Oasis MAX 6 cc Vac Cartridge, 500 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 60 µm, 30/pk

Designed to overcome the limitations of traditional silica-based, mixed-mode SPE sorbents, Oasis MAX offers higher selectivity and sensitivity when working with acidic compounds. As a strong mixed mode, anion exchange, water wettable, polymeric sorbent that is stable from pH 0 to 14, Oasis MAX is a top choice for chromatographers. By employing reliable SPE in methods, the sorbent allows for detection, confirmation, and quantification of acidic compounds and/or acidic metabolites in biological fluids. The selectivity and ruggedness of Oasis MAX enable the separation of analytes from complex samples into two fractions: acidic compounds, and basic/neutral compounds. These fractionated extracts can be analyzed by multiple analysis methods or even multiple techniques, like LC/MS and GC/MS.

The water wettable nature of the sorbent is based on other Oasis chemistries, allowing it to maintain its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries, even when the sorbent runs dry. This prevents the need for extraordinary steps to be taken to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loaded. The 60 µm particle size is recommended particularly for working with viscous samples, and the pore size is 80 Å.

The Oasis MAC 6 cc Vac cartridge arrives 30 to a package, with a syringe-barrel type cartridge that has been designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE lab equipment. Each cartridge can hold up to 500 mg of sorbent. The cartridges can be used with a variety of analysis kits, such as the PFC Analysis Kit from Waters, and are made from polypropylene.

Why Do Scientists Choose Oasis Products Solid Phase Extraction?

SPE is trusted by scientists around the world, and the Oasis range of SPE method development possibilities is considered the gold standard in the industry. By using a water wettable copolymer that is stable from pH 0 to 14, Oasis effectively changed the way SPE is used. Benefits include reduction in chromatographic complexity; increase signal to noise and improve detection limits; minimize risks associated with matrix effects; concentrate analytes of interest; reduce variability in analytical results; increase column lifetime; increase robustness of analysis; reduce system downtime. Mixed-Mode Oasis sorbents also increase specificity and sensitivity.
