Product Description

The innovative 96-well Oasis MAX µElution plate is designed for SPE cleanup and analyte enrichment of sample volumes ranging from 10 µL to 375 µL. Each well of the µElution plate contains 2 mg of the Oasis MAX sorbent, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting acidic compounds with anion-exchange groups. The innovative features of Oasis µElution plate enabled elution in only 25 µL, resulting in sensitive, robust, reproducible results without evaporation and reconstitution. A 15-fold sample enrichment is possible with this plate. The Oasis MAX µElution plate is compatible with most liquid-handling robotic systems for automated, high throughput SPE.

Oasis MAX 96-well µElution Plate, 2 mg Sorbent per Well, 30 µm, 1/pk

Trusted by separation scientists across the globe to meet their varying sample preparation needs, Waters’ family of Oasis products enables everything from a simple and fast matrix clean-up to solutions for difficult and highly selective sample preparation challenges. The superior technical performance of Oasis lab equipment allows for unmatched purity, consistency, and quality across sample preparation methods. As one of the sorbents based on the Oasis HLB Copolymers, Oasis MAX is a mixed-mode anion exchange sorbent designed for acids. The Oasis MAX 96-well plate features 96 wells, each containing 10 mg of this highly selective and sensitive sorbent.

Oasis MAX is designed specifically to overcome limitations seen in traditional silica-based mixed-mode SPE sorbents. The strong mixed-mode anion-exchange, water-wettable, polymeric sorbent is stable from pH 0 to 14, allowing for reliable SPE methods to be used to detect, confirm, or quantify acidic compounds and/or acidic metabolites in biological fluids. The unique balance of hydrophobicity and water-wettability of the Oasis MAX sorbent means individual wells drying out during critical steps prior to sample loading are no longer a concern.

The ruggedness and selectivity of Oasis MAX enables separation of analytes from complex samples into two distinct fractions: acidic compounds and basic/neutral compounds. These fractioned extracts can then be analyzed by multiple analysis methods or even multiple techniques.

The novel and well-controlled Waters production process allows for reproducible delivery of Oasis MAX with 0.25 meq/g of quaternary-amine-ion-exchange capacity.

Oasis MAX 96-well Plates feature an innovative two-stage well design to facilitate high throughput and high recovery. Waters extraction plates, including the Oasis MAX 96-well Plate and Oasis MAX 96-well µElution Plate, 2 mg Sorbent per Well, 30 µm, 1/pk are compatible with most liquid-handling robotic systems for automated, reliable, high throughput SPE.

How Can Results Be Improved?

Improving results of small sample volumes is an important part of the Oasis MAX µElution plates. In order to fully optimize your results each time, you may utilize one of the following before loading your sample. First, you may dilute the sample at a 1:1 ratio with a buffer to improve flow during loading. Second, you can dilute at a 1:1 ratio or greater with a 4% phosphoric acid or another applicable acid. Third, the sample can be filtered through a 0.45 µm membrane. And finally, as a fourth option, you might wish to utilize a centrifuge at greater than or equal to 3000 rpm.
