Product Description

The 3 cc flangeless Oasis MCX cartridges contain the Oasis MCX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The flangeless configuration allows the cartridges to be closely packed for processing in specialized automated SPE systems.

Oasis MCX 3 cc Flangeless Vac Cartridge, 60 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 30 µm, 100/pk

The Oasis MCX, found in the 3 cc flangeless Oasis MCX cartridges, is a novel mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve better selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Because the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it retains its ability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even when the sorbent runs dry, removing the need for additional measures to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. Because the cartridges have no flanges, they can be densely packed for use in specialized automated SPE apparatus.

SPE methods will be used to separate analytes from complex samples into two primary fractions: acidic compounds and basic or neutral compounds, taking full advantage of the Oasis MCX 3 cc Vac Cartridge's selectivity and robustness. If your sample contains fractionated extracts, you can analyze them using a variety of methods, including LC/MS.

Successful sample preparation is required for liquid chromatography, which comprises obtaining the sample component of interest in the solution, free of interfering matrix components, and at a concentration sufficient for detection or measurement. Waters created Oasis HLB, a polymeric reversed-phase sorbent with improved recovery, reproducibility, retention, and selectivity, as well as the most advanced preparation and extraction processes. Since then, Oasis has grown to include a broader range of sorbents and laboratory equipment, including the Oasis MCX sorbent found in this 3 cc Vac Cartridge.

The ultra-low MS bleed XSelect HSS T3 columns are completely scalable and transferrable to UPLC separations.

How Are Ion Exchange Packings Conditioned?

Any Ion Exchange Packings used for samples in nonpolar, organic solvents should first be conditioned with the sample solvent. However, when working with polar solvents, a water-miscible organic solvent should be employed first, followed by an aqueous solution with the proper pH, organic solvent content, and salt concentration.
