Oasis HLB Online Column, 80Å, 5 µm, 3.9 mm X 20 mm, 1/pk

The Oasis HLB on-line column is designed for strong, reproducible, and blazing-fast on-line SPE. The on-line column contains the widely used polymeric Oasis HLB sorbent, which is designed for the extraction of a wide range of analytes from various matrices. The Oasis HLB on-line column is designed for use with the appropriate Waters narrow-bore analytical column, such as the XSelect, XBridge, SunFire, Atlantis, XTerra, or Symmetry column. The column is furnished with typical HPLC column fittings and hardware.

The Oasis HLB is a multipurpose reverse-phase sorbent that can increase sensitivity and provide analyte specificity by using a mixed-mode oasis sorbent with reversed-phase and ion-exchange capabilities for orthogonal sample preparation.

Regular solid-phase extraction techniques require equilibration and condition phases to ensure that sorbents are prepared for sample input. In order for the liquid to enter the pores of the sorbent during the conditioning step and be held there, the sorbent must be wetted. The sorbent must first be wetted and then equilibrated with an aqueous solution in order to prepare it for aqueous sample loading. Since the Oasis HLB is a water-wettable sorbent, the analytes can interact with it and are retained when loaded directly in an aqueous sample solution. Because the Oasis HLB does away with the requirement for equilibration and condition steps, you can conduct your analysis more effectively while utilizing it. Your overall average solvent consumption is decreased by up to 70% as a result, and your sample preparation time is cut in half.

Mass spectrometers are used to check for cleanliness, and ACQUITY/MS/MS is used to check for low analyte adsorption.

How Can Sample Components Present In Low Concentrations Be Enriched?

To enrich sample components that are present at low concentrations, several steps can be followed. The gradient stages can be modified to selectively elute specific analytes. Utilizing "huge" sample quantities in an adsorption-promoting solvent is another efficient technique. Use a "small" collecting volume in a solvent that encourages desorption. Utilize sorbent chemistry specific to the analyte rather than the chemistry found in the analytical column. It is important to carefully select the chemistry of the solid-phase extraction column to eliminate the need for additional sample preparation.
