Overcome the limitations of traditional silica-based mixed-mode SPE sorbents with Oasis MCX. This mixed-mode cation-exchange and reversed-phase sorbent is a water-wettable, polymeric sorbent that is made through a novel and patented process at Waters. Oasis PRiME MCX offers the same benefits as Oasis MCX, as well as the easy-to-use benefits of Oasis PRiME, allowing for cleaner samples with even less time and effort. The reduction in matrix effects and chromatographic complexity is paired with the ability to increase sample concentration, allowing for an improved experience for chromatographers.

Oasis PRiME MCX has a far greater binding capacity than most silica-based mixed-mode SPE sorbents, as well as pH stability beyond what is normally seen. This ability to fully manipulate pH during development, optimization, and use of SPE methods allows for fast and straightforward methods development along with rugged and robust procedures. With no analyte breakthrough or loss of recovery due to dissolving silica particles at high pH or cleaving bonded phase at low pH, Oasis PRiME MCX offers high selectivity and high sensitivity across basic compounds.

The Waters production process is novel and well-controlled, allowing for reproducible delivery of Oasis PRiME MCX with 1.0 meq/g of sulfonic acid ion exchange capacity. This is compared to typical silica-based mixed-mode sorbents, which are synthesized in a complex process that is hard to control, leading to relatively low exchange capacities from 0.06-0.2 meq/g.
