Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Short Cartridge, 350 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 55 - 105 µm, 20/pk

Successfully and efficiently analyze formaldehyde, other aldehydes, and ketones in the air with the specially-designed Waters’ Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Short cartridges. They meet the requirements of EPA Method TO-11A, JPM HLW and ISO 16000 making them ideal lab equipment for air sample collection.

Utilize the Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica cartridge and its efficient use of a vacuum pump to draw an air sample. The aldehydes and ketones react with the DNPH and form the hydrazone derivatives, which are retained in the cartridge. The hydrazones are later eluted from the cartridge with acetonitrile, and quantitated analyzed by HPLC or Waters ACQUITY UPLC Technology.

Enjoy significant advantages for the analysis of aldehydes and ketones with the Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Short cartridges, especially when compared to techniques such as liquid impingers. A new high-speed, high-resolution HPLC application has been developed to provide excellent advancements in quantitation capability in the low parts-per-billion range.

Minimize your laboratory costs due to reduced solvent consumption, minimal solvent exposure, and minute hazardous waste disposal due to the Waters Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Short Cartridges. They are also ideal for field sampling and process monitoring applications as they provide superior convenience and reproducibility. They also offer increased productivity and save time while offering increased safety.

The Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Short Cartridge contains 20 cartridges per pack. Waters also carries the Sep-Pak DNPH-Silica Plus Long Cartridge, 800 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 55-105 µm, 20/pk as well, so that all your needs are covered. What Is SPE?

Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) is liquid chromatography. A typical SPE device has 50 times more separation power than a simple, single liquid-liquid extraction. SPE is actually column liquid-solid chromatography. Since SPE is liquid chromatography (LC), its practice is governed by LC principles. A sample is introduced into a column or cartridge device containing a bed of appropriate particles, or another form of a chromatographic packing material (stationary phase). Solvent (mobile phase) flows through the bed. By choosing an appropriate combination of mobile and stationary phases, sample components may pass directly through the column bed, or they may be selectively retarded or retained.
