Oasis HLB 1 cc Vac Cartridge, 30 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 30 µm, 100/pk
As the most widely used SPE products in bioanalytical laboratories, the Waters Oasis family of products is designed to provide the highest possible SPE recovery, cleanest extracts, lowest matrix effects, and lowest method variability on the market. By combining an innovative sorbent, device format, and methodology, Oasis sorbents and lab equipment improves and simplifies sample preparation, delivering robust, reproducible, and sensitive SPE methods to meet your needs.
Oasis HLB is the first water-wettable, yet hydrophobic, polymeric sorbent in the industry, introduced by Waters and permanently altering SPE practices in the time since. Oasis HLB, a Hydrophilic-Lipophilic-Balanced, water-wettable, reversed-phase sorbent, provides superior capacity with a neutral polar ‘hook’ for enhanced retention of polar analytes. This offers stability at pH extremes and in a variety of solvents, superior retention of polar compounds, and relative hydrophobic retention capacity that is 3x higher than traditional silica-based SPE sorbents like C18.
The water-wettable nature of the sorbent means there is improved retention capacity across a wider polarity spectrum of analytes, even when the sorbent bed runs dry during conditioning and sample loading. This precludes the need for repeat sample preparation, ensuring rugged and robust SPE methods. With higher retention capacity, scientists can reduce breakthrough and improve the recovery and reproducibility of SPE methods.
Available as the Oasis HLB 6 cc Vac Cartridge, 500 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 60 µm, 30/pk in addition to the 1 cc and 3 cc cartridge volumes, this sorbent offers long term reproducibility across batches and between columns, avoiding the effects of hydrolytic instability at pH extremes, low ionic capacity, and bonding difficulties on traditional silica-based mixed-mode sorbents. Waters’ manufacturing processes assure performance consistency in large projects with careful analysts testing for suitability.
What Kind Of Cartridge Is Used For Oasis HLB?
This Oasis HLB sorbent is available in a syringe-barrel cartridge, featuring an ultra-clean syringe barrel and frits. Waters’ syringe-barrel cartridges are available with cartridges that range from 1 cc to 60 cc, while flangeless syringe-barrel cartridges are available in 1 cc, 3 cc, and 6 cc configurations. These cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments. For the Oasis HLB 1 cc Vac cartridge, each cartridge holds 30 mg of sorbent. 100 cartridges are in each package.
