Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, PVDF, 13 mm, 0.45 µm, Protein, 1000/case

When it comes to managing a laboratory and shopping for lab equipment, saving time and money is often high priority, and Waters understands that these goals rely on important preventative maintenance procedures surrounding proper filtration of samples and solvents. By choosing the right filter, columns and minimize system downtime. Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, PVDF is certified for compliance, specifically designed and developed to offer these benefits of filtration while staying compliant with all regulatory and quality objectives.

Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, PVDF uses a membrane made from hydrophilic polyvinylidene fluoride, which is suitable for both aqueous and organic solvents. This membrane is recommended for acids and aqueous solutions. These filters have a number of special features that create reliable performance, including smooth filter-to-filter release, consistent turret advancement, exceptional housing strength, and strict outside filter geometry.

This Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, PVDF features a pore size of 0.45 µm and a diameter of 13 mm. Each order includes 1000 individual filters. They can also be purchased in smaller volumes such as the Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, PVDF, 13 mm, 0.45 µm, Protein, 100/pk.

All Acrodisc filters are produced by Pall Life Sciences, which strictly adheres to cGMPs and cleanroom practices, as well as being registered to the ISO 9001 Quality Systems Standards. In addition, a series of quality control tests are performed to ensure that liquid flow rates, bubble point, burst test, and liquid UV/IC standards are met.

These rigorous tests, in addition to the media separation technology used, ensures protection for all analytical instruments, creating integrity in your analytical results. Uniform membrane materials offer consistency, reliable results, and less chromatographic interference.

What Are Extractables?

A syringe tip filter extractable in an undesirable artifact contributed to the sample fluid from the filter device. This artifact can be a membrane or a housing formulation component, or a component that was introduced during the manufacturing and packaging processes. A variety of mechanisms can allow extractable materials to leach into the sample during preparation. Solubility and particle displacement are the most common, but chemical interaction and diffusion can also contribute to this. The appearance of extractable materials depends on the solubility of device components, making the quality of materials used important to avoid problems resulting from contamination through extractables.
