[Glu1]-Fibrinopeptide B Standard
Conduct system benchmarking to make sure that the system performance is optimum before doing critical analysis using the Mass Spectrometry standard for system assessment, the Waters [Glu1]-Fibrinopeptide B Standard. The lab equipment listed here contains 1 x 0.1mg [Glu1]-Fibrinopeptide B 0.1 mg ±0.01 mg Solid 4 mL in an Amber Screw top Vial and a Certificate of Analysis. Fibrinopeptide B (FPB) is produced during the cleavage of fibrinogen, by thrombin, to the fibrin monomer. This cleavage takes place from the N-terminal of the fibrinogen β chain, and the peptide is composed of 14 amino acids.
There are many applications of the [Glu1]-Fibrinopeptide B Standard. The lab equipment can be used during LC-MS analysis in order to avoid cross-contamination and to analyze the performance of the mass spectrometer and LC-instrument. You can also use it for two-point calibration during 2D (dimensional) gel electrophoresis and protein identification by mass spectrometry of histidine (his)-Pup (prokaryotic ubiquitin-like protein) isolated from Mycobacterium smegmatis. Further, it can be employed for two-point calibration during one-dimensional gel electrophoresis and tandem mass spectrometry (MS) for the characterization of soluble protein samples which are obtained from the salivary gland homogenates of Cimex lectularius. In addition to this, the [Glu1]-Fibrinopeptide B Standard can also be used as a standard for the correction of mass drift in data obtained from MS and MS/MS performed on peptides obtained from trypsin-digestion of protein disulfide isomerase (PDI).
Being the world’s leading manufacturer of scientific equipment, Waters offers a comprehensive portfolio of standards and reagent kits to meet your chromatographic needs. This is because we understand that standards and reagents are crucial components for achieving optimal performance and compliance using analytical instrumentation. It is imperative to have lab equipment that can rise to the dynamic challenges, as the technical and regulatory requirements for preparation, documentation, and testing of analytical standards and reagents become more and more complex and time-consuming. You can confidently depend on the use of Waters Analytical Standards and Reagents, which will enable you to enhance your productivity and strengthen your compliance.
We recommend that you also explore the LCMS QC Reference Standard.
