Deactivated Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Snap Neck Total Recovery Vial, with Cap and PTFE/Silicone Septum, 1 mL Volume, 100/pk

Deactivated Glass (DV) vials are used for highly polar analytes that would ordinarily associate with the polar glass surface. These glass vials are treated with gas-phase, reactive organosilane to create a hydrophobic glass surface.

Use deactivated glass for samples that may contain highly polar analytes to avoid losing a sample, wasting time, or having to redo the analysis. These deactivated clear glass vials have a permanent surface alteration, allowing them to be stored dry indefinitely. The 'deactivated' characteristics of the vial make it ideal for working with biological or pharmaceutical substances, natural goods, insecticides, and herbicides since the deactivation method eliminates sample interaction.

The PTFE/Silicone Septum is suitable for multiple injections and sample storage. It has excellent resealing abilities and chemical resistance till pierced. Once the seal is broken, the septum will be chemically compatible with silicone. The specified working temperature range for the PTFE/Silicone Septum is -40°C to 200°C, making it appropriate for a wide range of applications.

Similar to all Waters equipment, the Deactivated Clear Glass Snap Neck Vial is manufactured in dedicated Waters production plants where the vials are produced under the strictest conditions in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP). You can browse our website or refer to our catalog to shop for lab equipment so you can replenish your stock and add to your existing equipment portfolio.

You may also want to look into Blue, 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 100/pk; which is compatible with a range of vials and other products. All Waters Screw caps are designed in consideration of other vial parts in order to achieve high-performance analytical instrumentation for chromatography.

When Selecting A Vial For Your Laboratory Experiments, What Does The Color Of The Vial Mean?

When choosing the best laboratory equipment for their labs' needs and experiment requirements, scientists must evaluate a variety of aspects. This is especially true when it comes to choosing the ideal chromatography vial for a particular scientific application. Color is a significant consideration since it influences the chemical stability of the compounds or extracts. Waters produces glass and plastic vials in clear and amber colors. Depending on the contents gathered, an amber vial may be required to shield the contents from UV light, which might harm certain substances. Clear Vials enable scientists with the best visibility of compounds, whilst Amber Vials are appropriate for easily damaged substances.
