LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk
When you shop for lab equipment that vials meet the most stringent requirements for dimensional tolerances, UV cleanliness, and MS cleanliness based on LC/GC standards choose LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vials with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume. These vials are designed to account for all elements of use, from needle design to tray design to volatility, as well as to meet the standards of LC/GC certification. All vials undergo an HPLC test designed to look for trace levels of chemicals resulting from processing and manufacturing.
The PTFE/Silicone septum will aid with multiple injections and sample storage due to the superior resealing capabilities. Until punctured, these vials have PTFE chemical resistance, and then the septum offers the chemical compatibility of silicone. This allows for a working temperature of -40 C to 200 C.
Universal screw caps apply a mechanical force, squeezing the septum between the glass rim and the cap. This offers a firm seal, holding the septum in place during injection and requiring no assembly.
Clear glass vials are made with the most chemically-inert glass on the market, making them a good choice for analytical labs that require high-quality test results. This glass has an expansion coefficient of approximately 33x10(-7) C and is composed of silicone and oxygen with small amounts of boron and sodium present.
Your lab will benefit from the carefully HPLC tested quality of our vials, as well as our Blue, 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 100/pk allowing for tests without chemical contamination. With an industry-leading combination of screw caps and clear glass, these Waters vials can hold 2 mL and are available in packs of 100.
What is HPLC?
HPLC stands for high-performance liquid chromatography, an analytical technique used to separate, identify, and quantify components in a mixture. As the single largest technique used in laboratories worldwide, this test is used for a variety of purposes.
What is the LCGC certification process?
In the LCGC certification process, the test identifies trace levels of chemicals like lubricants, surfactants, antioxidants, and antistatic used in the processing and packaging of glass vials. For LCGC certification, this is done using UV detection to identify analytes and measure the absorption levels. This testing is done after multiple days to ensure cleanliness.
