LCGC Certified Clear Glass Screw Neck Vial | Total Recovery | with Cap and PTFE/Silicone Septum

LCQC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Vials are manufactured using the most chemically-inert glass and tested by HPLC using UV detection. Ideal for high precision analyses, these Waters LCQC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Vials ensure test results are not altered. The glass has an expansion coefficient of 33 x 10-7 ˚C and is composed of silicon and oxygen, with negligible amounts of boron and sodium.

The LCQC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Vials are designed specifically for the side draw-port needle. They deliver a maximum sample capacity of approximately 1 mL with a minimum residual volume of approximately 9 μL.

The PFTE/Silicone septum of the LCQC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Vial offers an operating temperature of -40˚ C to 200˚ C. It is ideal for multiple injections and sample storage while displaying outstanding resealing characteristics. The vial comes with a universal screw neck cap that offers an excellent seal and holds the septum in place during piercing. Screwing the cap on puts a mechanical pressure that squeezes the septum between the glass rim and the cap. No tools are required for the assembly.

As the world’s leading manufacturer of analytical instrumentation, we understand your need for homogeneous equipment for your research and experimentation, regardless of geography. This is why Waters’ single-source manufacturing process is ideal, as we distribute the Type I, 33 expansion glass, which is the lowest free ion glass available, across the globe.

All Waters LCQC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Vials are quality checked to certify their cleanliness and quality, and they are all tested by LC or LC/MS. The tests ensure that the vials, caps, and septa are all properly manufactured, handled, and packaged. The testing is also completed to confirm that the vials are free from any impurities that may cause problems for accurate chromatographic results.

FAQs About LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, Total Recovery, with Cap and PTFE/Silicone Septum, 1 mL Volume, 100/pk

What type of glass is used for the LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial?
The vials are made from clear glass that is typically borosilicate type 1, class A, which offers excellent chemical resistance and minimal interaction with the contents. This type of glass ensures stability under varying temperature conditions and is ideal for sensitive analytical methods.

How does the total recovery design benefit sample analysis?
The total recovery design of the vial minimizes sample residue left in the vial after liquid extraction, ensuring maximal retrieval of the sample. This is particularly beneficial in quantitative analysis, where the accuracy and consistency of sample volume are critical.

What are the benefits of the PTFE/Silicone septum included with the LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial?
The PTFE/Silicone septum provides a reliable seal to prevent sample evaporation and contamination. PTFE offers excellent chemical resistance against aggressive solvents, while silicone ensures a tight seal and resealability after multiple needle penetrations, making it suitable for repetitive sampling.

Can these vials withstand autoclaving and freezing?
Yes, these glass vials can generally withstand autoclaving and freezing. The borosilicate glass offers a wide temperature tolerance, which allows these vials to be used in applications requiring sterilization or storage at very low temperatures.

Are the LCGC Certified Clear Glass Vials compatible with all types of chromatography systems?
These vials are designed to be compatible with most major chromatography systems, including HPLC and GC systems. The standard dimensions (12 x 32 mm) and screw neck design ensure that they fit well with most autosamplers, providing a secure and consistent environment for analysis.

How can I choose the best vial for my purpose?

To enable you to select the most appropriate vial for your use, Waters has developed an online vial selector. It is designed to eliminate any difficulty surrounding the selection by simplifying the process and opting for the best solution for your system and application requirements. This is achieved by matching vials to your selected criteria such as the system you are using, sample volume, detection method, and light sensitivity of analytes. All further updates are also notified to the registered users.

What is HPLC?

HPLC stands for high-performance liquid chromatography, an analytical technique used to separate, identify, and quantify components in a mixture. As the single largest technique used in laboratories worldwide, this test is used for a variety of purposes.
