What Can Dissolve Polyethylene?
Generally, Polyethylene (other than cross-linked polyethylene) can be dissolved at elevated temperatures in aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene or xylene, or in chlorinated solvents such as trichloroethane or trichlorobenzene. Polyethylene absorbs almost no water.
