What Kind Of Septa Can I Pair With This Vial?
Waters offers four versions of septa for use with Total Recovery Vials. PTFE is recommended for single application injections that require excellent solvent resistance and chemical compatibility, but do not need to reseal upon puncturing. PE Septumless offers similar benefits to PTFE membranes. PTFE/Silicone is recommended for multiple injections and sample storage, as it has excellent resealing abilities. If vacuum formation in sample vial is a concern, PTFE/Silicone septa are also available with a pre-slit membrane, which can help eliminate coring from bottom draw needles. Both have the same working temperature range.
