Polypropylene 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 700 µL Volume, 100/pk

Ensure all your solvents, solutions, and samples are stored safely within a chemically inert environment with the Polypropylene Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum. All Waters vials are produced and go through rigorous chemical testing and are certified for the LC and LC/MS Analysis. The vials are also extensively tested and reviewed for cleanliness by mass spectrometers, as well as for low analyte adsorption by ACQUITY MS/MS.

The screw cap feature of the Polypropylene Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum will mechanically hold the septum in place during piercing, and it also forms an excellent seal. This septum is electron bonded to the cap and will not come dislodged during shipment or use.

The PTFE/Silicone septum used with most Waters vials has demonstrated outstanding resealing capabilities, and it is highly recommended for use in analysis where multiple injections are required. The PTFE/Silicone septum is chemically resistant until it is punctured, and it attains the chemical compatibility of the silicone after being punctured. The PTFE/Silicone septum has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 ˚C to 200 ˚C, making it usable across a wide range of applications.

All of Waters Polypropylene Screw Neck Vials, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, are manufactured and handled using chemically inert materials to ensure there are no contaminants or impurities present, thereby enabling you to have interference-free results. You can review our website to shop for lab equipment as per the needs of your laboratory or to connect with a member of our global support team for any assistance you may need.

You might also want to review the Waters Black Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum for TruView Vials, which are color-coded. Black caps are spare caps for TruView LC/MS Certified Vials. The septum will enable you to replace the pre-slit PTFE/Silicone septum of the glass vials and offers sufficient venting to prevent vacuum formation in the sample vial. It delivers outstanding sample-draw reproducibility while exhibiting excellent resealing characteristics.

What Is The Significance Of The Vial Color For Selection?

Waters manufactures both glass and plastic vials in clear or amber colors. To assist in distinguishing between properties of the vials, Waters uses different colors to mark the vials. Color has become one of the important factors when selecting lab equipment, especially the vials, as it determines the long-term chemical stability of the compounds or extracts. Amber vials are typically the best suited for easily damaged chemicals, whereas the Clear Vials provide the best visibility of chemicals. Depending on the composition of the contents being collected in your analysis, you may need to choose an amber vial to ensure protection from UV Light as it may damage certain chemicals.
