LCMS Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk
Waters is committed to producing reliable and high-quality lab equipment for every part of the chromatography process, including glass vials that determine the consistency in analytical results across laboratories. This performance is ensured using strict testing protocol to ensure vials meet LCMS certification standards. Waters LCMS Certified Clear Glass vials are all within standard dimensional tolerances for height, width, neck opening, neck center, threads, and bottom thickness specified for autosamplers. In addition, LCMS certification is achieved using unbiased tests that look for any ionized masses, regardless of their source. This test is performed in the mass spectrometer’s scan mode in order to determine the total ion count and the presence of clusters in the high-mass range.
This LCMS Certified Clear Glass vial features a PTFE/Silicone septum that is recommended for multiple injections and sample storage due to the excellent resealing characteristics it demonstrates. Until punctured, the septum exhibits PTFE chemical resistance, and then it will have the chemical compatibility of silicone and a working temperature range from -40 C to 200 C. This is paired with a universal screw neck designed to form a tight seal.
Replacement Light Blue 12 x 32 mm Cap and PTFE/Silicone Septum for LCMS Certified Vials can be purchased through Waters.Clear Glass vials are made using Type 1, 33-Expansion Borosilicate Glass, the most chemically inert glass obtainable. The glass is composed of mostly silicone and oxygen, along with trace amounts of boron and sodium.
Each order includes 100 vials.
Can I Use Vials From Various Manufacturers?
If your laboratory owns HPLC instruments, including vials, from several different manufacturers you may encounter a number of issues. In addition to inconsistent protocol, you may have to manage an increased number of purchase orders and lose the opportunity for quantity discounts that lead to higher costs. The tight dimensional tolerances on Waters vials and accessories mean they can be used with virtually all HPLC systems, so even if your other equipment is not from Waters, they can be the universal column of your laboratory. Ordering solely these vials allows you to lower your purchase order volume and take advantage of quantity discounts, and to streamline your procedures.
