This course explains how the ACQUITY UPC2 system combines new chemistry with advances in instrumentation to access increased speed, resolution and sensitivity in chromatographic analysis. Included in the course are exercises such as basic login for Empower and MassLynx, becoming familiar with the ACQUITY Console software, priming the instrument, running test and sample solutions, and method transfer
Topics Covered
Understanding the unique differences between SFC and UPC2 with an introduction and global overview
· A brief refresher of SFC and an in-depth look at UPC2 chemistry
· An overview of the ACQUITY UPC2 System’s hardware and configuration
· Using the ACQUITY Console software for:
o Priming the Binary Solvent Manager and Sample Manager
o Calibrating the Sample Manager
o Setting default parameters
· Maintaining your ACQUITY UPC2 System for optimal performance and reliability:
· Method Transfer and optimisation from SFC to UPC2
· General troubleshooting techniques, including tips and tricks
· Utilizing Connections® Insight™ with its Intelligent Device Management™ (IDM) technology
Prerequisites
Attendees should be familiar with the basic principles of SFC
Course Notes
Each attendee will receive a course manual to keep for future reference and a Certificate of Attendance
Cancellation Policy
Courses will have a minimum of 4 attendees. Attendees should have a minimum of 6 weeks experience operating the equipment. While every effort will be made to accommodate customer training requirements, attendees should note that training may be performed on a different version of hardware/software than that which is being used in their lab. Cancellation is required 10 business days prior to the start of a course to avoid 100% billing.
