This 2 day course will allow a system administrator to become familiar with the modification of existing default reports as well as the creation of completely new ones within the NuGenesis 8 ELN system.
Topics Covered
The content of the training will be:
- The requirements for the proper installation and operation of the iReport Design tools needed to customize and create Jasper reports.
- Configuration and presentation of the iReport application.
- Presentation of the default ELN reports
- Presentation of the main SQL statements needed to gather the required information within the database.
- Presentation of the main tables within the database that are commonly used for the creation of reports.
- Exporting/Importing Jasper reports within the ELN system.
- Configuration of the context and parameters of the reports within the ELN system.
- Hands-on exercises to customize a default report, to create a simple report and to create a more complex report.
Daily Events
The training will only cover the sql statements and database tables commonly used in ELN reports. No exhaustive training on sql statements will be provided. Only the database tables of interest will be covered.
Who Should Attend
This course has been designed for system administrators with the responsibility for building/customizing reports in the NuGenesis 8 installation within their organization (IT specialists and/or Lab Administrators), who are familiar with the operating system of the PC and the daily use/needs of the Nugenesis 8 ELN who would like to further explore beneficial customization possibilities of ELN reports with Jasper reporting tools
Prerequisites
To get the maximum benefit from these sessions, certain skills, other than the usual End User experience, are needed. For instance, some knowledge of the Windows Operating System and basic understanding of relational databases (including sql statements) are recommended
